Olieve & Olie began in 2000, on a small 15 acre property on the banks of the Gunbower Creek, 50km west of Echuca. Andy & Jude Steele planted 2000 olive trees.
The trees flourished and the olives were abundant and of superior quality. Shortly after their first harvest, Jude began making her first batch of olive oil soap.
Ten years later they moved to the Mornington Peninsula, creating from a home studio and still using the olives from the original grove. They've since been joined in the business by their two children and moved into a purpose built factory in Rosebud. In the beginning, Jude made all their products in 20 litre saucepans in their farm-house kitchen and Jude still makes the products by hand in 100 litre kettles in their Rosebud factory.They do not test our product on animals what so ever, and we most certainly do not use palm oil
